Lifeguard

The Lifeguard is responsible for guarding their area of responsibility, responding to any level of incident around the entire facility, enforcing the Aquatic Center rules fairly and politely, being responsive to all customer requests, ensuring customer safety, and other tasks assigned by the Aquatic Center Management staff. Outdoor weather conditions with little to no temperature control, is routinely exposed to the sun, may be exposed to extreme heat, cold, wind and rain; works on uneven and/or slippery surfaces and is periodically exposed to hazardous conditions/situations.

911 Dispatcher

This employee is responsible for the receiving of calls for service from the public by telephone or personal contact regarding emergency and non-emergency situations, complaints and animal control problems.  Records all pertinent information and the dispatching of Police patrol forces to calls for service through radio operations.  Employees of this class are under the direct supervision of a Division Commander and the general supervision of a Shift Commander.  Employee may be responsible for the on-the-job training of new personnel.

Patrol Officer

This is general duty police work in enforcing laws and ordinances.  This employee is responsible for the protection of life and property; prevention, detection, and investigation of crime and maintaining law and order.  Work involves an element of danger and may be performed either in plain clothes or in uniform.  The Patrol Officer is engaged in constant and varied contact with the public which requires the exercise of individual initiative.  Specific assignments are received from superior officers and are carried out in accordance with established rules and procedures.  This employee may be... read more

Fleet Maintenance Supervisor

The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor is a division head responsible for the operation of the fleet maintenance shop and the City's warehouse. Supervision is exercised over skilled and semi-skilled workers in the maintenance of all City vehicles.

Light Equipment Operator - Sewer Line Maintenance

This is a responsible skilled work of a mechanical nature in the maintenance of the sewer system.  Employees in this class have the responsibility for the operation and general maintenance of the collection system maintained by the City.  Work is performed with some latitude for the use of independent judgment in some work methods and procedures while carrying out the maintenance on the collection line.

Light Equipment Operator - Water Line Maintenance

This is work of a semi-skilled labor and mechanical nature involving the maintenance of the water system and installation and repair of new water services.   

METER READER

This is work of a semi-skilled labor involving the reading water meters and maintenance of the meter system.
