Department: Parks and Recreation
Under the general supervision of the Recreation Supervisor, this position includes landscaping, planting, mowing and Community Center maintenance. The work is semi-routine in nature, although the employee may be required to make judgments as to the appropriate action to take in similar situations according to established policies and procedures.
Department: Police Department
This employee is responsible for the receiving of calls for service from the public by telephone or personal contact regarding emergency and non-emergency situations, complaints and animal control problems. Records all pertinent information and the dispatching of Police patrol forces to calls for service through radio operations. Employees of this class are under the direct supervision of a Division Commander and the general supervision of a Shift Commander. Employee may be responsible for the on-the-job training of new personnel.
This is general duty police work in enforcing laws and ordinances. This employee is responsible for the protection of life and property; prevention, detection, and investigation of crime and maintaining law and order. Work involves an element of danger and may be performed either in plain clothes or in uniform. The Patrol Officer is engaged in constant and varied contact with the public which requires the exercise of individual initiative. Department: Public Works
This is work of a semi-skilled labor involving the reading water meters and maintenance of the meter system.
This is work in the operation and maintenance of a Wastewater Treatment Facility. Employees in this class have the responsibility for the operation and general maintenance of wastewater treatment machinery, equipment and facilities. Employees maintain various logs and work records for an assigned shift. Work is performed with some latitude for the use of independent judgment in the selection of work methods and procedures and is reviewed by observation and analysis of written reports and plant records.
