Department: City Clerk/Finance
Performs work of a supervisory nature utilizing skills, knowledge and abilities normally acquired prior to assuming the position. The employee is responsible for fostering a culture of positive customer service in the utility billing division by providing day-to-day supervision for the division, managing the establishment of new residential and commercial utility accounts, troubleshooting escalated customer concerns and coordinating with other impacted city departments.
Department: Community Services
Performs work of an administrative nature utilitzing skill, knowledge and abilities normally acquired prior to assuming the position. The employee is responsible for managing daily workflow in the Code Enforcement Division, interacting with residents, businesses, contractors and other City departments, providing support to the Inspection and Planning Divisions, and performing various other duties relating to the Planning, Inspection and Code Enforcement Divisions of the Community Services Department.
Performs work of a professional nature utilizing skills, knowledge and abilities normally acquired prior to assuming the position. The employee is responsible for creating and managing programming for City parks and other recreational facilities as well as for managing the Del City Community Center. The employee serves as staff liaison to the Parks and Recreation Commission, helps guide long-term planning for parks and recreation infrastructure, and coordinates with Public Works and outside contractors to ensure proper maintenance for all facilities.

This is a job of an executive nature as part of the City’s senior leadership team. The position is charged with management of the City’s administrative functions and oversees the Finance, Community Services, Legal and Human Resources Departments. The position is also responsible for directly conducting the City’s Economic Development, marketing and communication activities and for managing overall citizen interactions.
Department: Parks and Recreation
Under the general supervision of the Recreation Supervisor, this position includes landscaping, planting, mowing and Community Center maintenance. The work is semi-routine in nature, although the employee may be required to make judgments as to the appropriate action to take in similar situations according to established policies and procedures.
Department: Police Department
This employee is responsible for the receiving of calls for service from the public by telephone or personal contact regarding emergency and non-emergency situations, complaints and animal control problems. Records all pertinent information and the dispatching of Police patrol forces to calls for service through radio operations. Employees of this class are under the direct supervision of a Division Commander and the general supervision of a Shift Commander. Employee may be responsible for the on-the-job training of new personnel.
Department: Public Works
This is a responsible skilled work in the inspection, maintenance and repair of the City’s sewer system. Employees of this class must possess at least a Class “C” Wastewater Operator’s License and have experience in sewer line maintenance and repair. Crew Chief may fill for the Sewer Line Maintenance Supervisor whenever the Supervisor is unavailable.
This is manual labor in the performance of semiskilled tasks of a physically demanding nature. Work involves responsibility for performing heavy manual labor, general construction and related servicing tasks in public areas and street rights-of-way.
Work in this classification is skilled in nature, with Operator performing a variety of complex tasks. Most of the work is semi-routine, following established policies and procedures, however, a large portion requires initiative and independent judgment concerning techniques and methods by which tasks are to be performed. This is a responsible skilled work of a mechanical nature in the maintenance of the sewer system. Employees in this class have the responsibility for the operation and general maintenance of the collection system maintained by the City. Work is performed with some latitude for the use of independent judgment in some work methods and procedures while carrying out the maintenance on the collection line.
This is work in the operation and maintenance of a Wastewater Treatment Facility. Employees in this class have the responsibility for the operation and general maintenance of wastewater treatment machinery, equipment and facilities. Employees maintain various logs and work records for an assigned shift. Work is performed with some latitude for the use of independent judgment in the selection of work methods and procedures and is reviewed by observation and analysis of written reports and plant records.
This is work in the operation of a Water Treatment Plant. Employees in this class have the responsibility for the operation of water treatment machinery, equipment and facilities. Employees maintain various logs and work records.
